If you fix computers regularly (or you're the type that often fixes computers for friends and family), you've probably developed a collection of tools and software to help you fix things more efficiently. Since I play from time to time technician myself, I thought share with you some tools that make it easier to troubleshoot PC every day.
Having a good collection of software
The quality of software that help you diagnose and solve many problems. If someone needs to reinstall Windows and do not have the CD, then what? You may want to buy a CD folder to hold all types of software. Here's a sample of what you find on my computer:
> Two Bootable CD with the diagnostic programs
> Live CD Linux with Ubuntu and Knoppix
> Three versions of Microsoft Office (including 2003)
Windows 95, 98SE, 2000, XP Home and Pro (plus a special corporate licensed version)
> Apply service packs and patches for each version of Windows on CD
> Two CDs with various benchmarks on them
> Visual Studio. NET
> Three utility CDs with antivirus / antispyware programs and use applications like Adobe Reader
> Norton Ghost
> Partition Magic
> Many more random disks
What is the common cables
> USB Cable – Interface devices the most common
> Firewire Cable
> Standard PC Power Cable
> Ethernet cable (you may want to carry 2-3 of these)
> Wireless USB Adapter – Helps prevent last 30 meter Ethernet cable just to get a line machines. Why use cabling if a wireless network in the region?
One way to move and store files
Some use a USB thumbdrive on a keychain, but I think the size limit of flash memory is constrictive when working on a PC. I one FireWire 160 / USB external hard drive as part of my team. So if I need someone to back up files or want to work on another computer, I have everything in my hands.
A screwdriver and a few things …
Each technician has his trusted PC Phillips screwdriver, at any time, right? The standard size fits most screws office, but you might want to get a mini-screwdriver set work in laptops. Three thieves saw was (or tweezers) are great for when you drop a screw in or under the motherboard. Alternatively, you might get a magnetized screwdriver and pick the screws to him. Take a small flashlight to help you see in the dark corners of the case, and needle nose pliers are useful bridges for the hard disk. Finally, a notepad, post-it notes and pens and pencils away.

> Power Supply Tester
> Network Cable Tester
> Test the mother (usually PCI, product codes BIOS)
Get a good bag
How can you make this? In a good bag of course. I use a binder size medium term, but a piece of cloth to make robust.
Apart from diagnosis, many technicians carry common spare parts such as:
> Wireless Router
> CD-RW Drive
> Standard ATX Power Supply 300-500W
> Internal Hard Drives (40GB, 80GB, 120GB)
> Protection against overvoltage
> Speakers
These are the basics for solving everyday problems. For those who are more advanced procedures diagnosis could also recommend a welder. Also might want to try to bring an iPod (or any music player) – but not for reasons techniques. Provides an excellent source of entertainment while watching the progress bar creep.
Bluetooth laptop please help?
I have an Acer Aspire 3690 on XP I have an option "Bluetooth Settings" on the control panel, but do not know if it is built in if I need an adapter and how do I use when I push the button that says there is no Bluetooth device! Help I get Fustrated
