Mini-notebooks are ideal for students, travelers, and almost all those who want a laptop, portable, lightweight. Once you have determined that a mini-laptop, also known as a netbook, meets your needs, decide which style suits you best. While all share certain features screen size common between 8.9 and 10.2 inches, light weight and small form factor, there are some differences.
Screen size: The Most mini-laptops have a screen that is 8.9 or 10.2 inches.
Pro: The advantage a bigger screen is that it increases readability.
Con: Increased screen size increases the weight of the computer mobile and potentially reduces the battery life. Also increases the total size of the laptop.
Hard Drive (storage): Mini-notebooks are available with either a unit that uses chip solid state memory or a traditional hard drive, with dishes and a reading / writing head.
Pro units in the solid state are generally faster because there is a read / write head to move and less likely to fail, again because of the lack of moving parts.
Features: SSD drives for laptops are available in sizes ranging from 8 GB to 64 GB is small compared to the hard disk of 160 GB standard.
If you choose a mini-laptop with a solid state drive can use a USB external drive for additional storage and backup.
Operating system: Windows XP or Linux
Pro: The advantage of Linux is that it requires much less space on your hard drive and is faster.
