Well, in my place to jump right into explaining the difference between state and stateless DHCP. I'll slow down a little and explain briefly DHCP first.
DHCP stands for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, the protocol client / server has been around for a while now, and is regually implemented in IPv4 networks. IPv4 DHCP is explained in RFC 2131 and DHCP IPv6 is explained in RFC 3315. But, in fact, network administrators use DHCP to provide a framework which is used by network devices (DHCP clients) to obtain various parameters necessary for DHCP servers to DHCP clients can work in an Internet protocol (IP). Now, when it comes to DHCP for IPv6 (RFC 3315), DHCPv6 there are two ways you can apply, whether state or stateless.
