Technology Timeline
When it comes to predicting the future of technology many
scientists and futurists often do not agree on the timeline that
future technology will take. Gene line therapy, for instance was
not expected to be developed until several years after it actually
became a topic.

Neural Induction is expected to become commercially available
sometime around 2020, but that again remains to be seen. In fact,
with the ever growing developments in technology it is highly
likely that some of the predictions for the future developments in
the area of technology make actually come to pass far sooner than
what is originally expected.
In approximately 20 more years it is expected that the very
first microscale robots will become available commercially.
The nanoscale components are expected to be manufactured for
widespread use around that time. This again remains to be seen as
to whether or not the release of this technology will begin around
the expected time or miss it by several years in either
direction.
The first human equivalent artificial intelligence is also
expected to be in the foreseeable future in approximately 20 years
as well. With the developments that have been released in the past,
it does make sense that researchers would estimate that artificial
intelligence will be as big a part of society as humans are
today.
Cranial nerve implants as well as pancreas, complete heart
transplants and other vital organs that are needed for a longer
life term are expected to be developed within this lifetime. These
medical technologies will help to prolong the lives of individuals
who would normally be subjected to shortened life terms due to
injury or illness.
Space stations are expected within the next 40 years to be
commonplace. These stations are expected to be completely manned
and permanent. With the developments in space over the past century
this too seems highly likely as long as technological research is
continued.

the future as the 2050s energy is expected to be the most important
focus on earth. Fossil fuels are becoming expensive even today and
as they become more diminished, energy importance takes on a key
role.
Fission reactors are expected to be developed as the most
important source of energy for several countries. Those rich in
uranium and thorium which also include mass produced solar furnaces
and wind power are expected to prevail in the energy crisis.
Hydrogen and biofuels are being manufactured today and are
expected to replace the expensive oil that is currently being used.
The fusion program is predicted to begin producing commercial power
late in the 2050s.
Of course these are just predictions and as it has been stated
so many times before, no one can truly predict what has yet to
happen. Given the advances in technology in our world over the past
few decades however, it stands to reason that many changes have
already taken place and many more are likely yet to come.
Whether these changes will make life easier on earth remains to
be seen. Medical advances are definitely one way in which the human
race will benefit from the countless hours of research and
development that are being conducted.
Other advances will surely give individuals a better way of life
and provide for a longer life term than ever before.
