Weighing barely two pounds, the Acer Aspire One solution is a Mobile Internet Device for travel. This notebook is powered by the new Intel Atom processor enabled the new generation of portable lighter, but much more powerful than their predecessors. The Intel Atom processor, Acer Aspire uses only 2.5 watts of power which is much smaller than the 35 watts used by the Intel Core 2 Duo laptops on the ordinary. This low power consumption translates by a battery. The processor also includes a 533 MHz FSB and 512 KB of L2 cache that is optimized for fast transfer of data in mobile applications.
The Acer Aspire One comes with Windows XP Home Edition that lets you surf the Internet, edit documents, photos, enjoy the web cam chats and many other Internet applications. The high-speed 120GB hard drive lets you store large amounts of music, videos and documents on the Netbook, and if this were not enough, you can easily expand memory using an external SD card.
This model also comes with netbook MMC, RS-MMC MS, MS Pro headphones, microphone, SD card reader and stereo speakers. The 8.9-inch WXGA CrystalBrite LED backlit display produces superb image and the operating system is integrated with applications and Windows Live Messenger Windows Live Mail and Windows Live. The brochure also contains a sound card integrated to its compatibility with Microsoft DirectSound. The 6-cell battery life is impressive, lasting up to 5.5 hours a single charge.
