Why does my computer only detects half or my RAM?
I have a Packard Bell iMedia 4608 PC with two memory banks supporting up 512 MB SDRAM RAM. I bought 2 identical 256 chips out of the net, but my computer does not detect one of these modules. I had exactly the same problem when I was 2 128 modules. I even had my motherboard replaced (due to a separate issue) and this occurs yet. Please help me … I do not call this number PCWorld support dear! I add additional information if necessary. Do you support software Motherboard?, The problem could be in the BIOS setup or version. You can try to get an updated BIOS on the network. Reflection: Have you checked the installed RAM modules?. Good luck. Hope this helps!.
