How can I speed up an old laptop?

We have 5 years of Packard Bell laptop with XP on it! Is it possible to accelerate without upgrading its parts?

How to speed up Win XP? 1. NTFS is the standard file system that is specially designed for Windows NT Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Please make sure that Windows XP uses the NTFS file system. Follow these steps to check: First, you run on my computer, right-click the C: drive, then go to Properties. Then consider the type of file system, if it says FAT32, then back up important data. Then, click Start, click Run, type CMD, then select OK. At the DOS prompt, type CONVERT C: / FS: NTFS and press Enter. NTFS has several improvements over FAT and HPFS (High Performance File System), including improved support metadata and the use of advanced data structures to improve performance, reliability and use of space disk, plus additional extensions such as checklists Security (ACLs) and file system journaling. 2. Disable Indexing Service Indexing Service is a level of operating system Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7, which can extract text and property information files on the local machine and remote network computers to facilitate the efficient and fast search. Please search your computer often, or even if you do not try often, service system is completely useless. To disable the following: • First, go to Start • Then click on Settings • Go to Control Panel • Double-click Add / Remove Programs • Select the Add / Remove Window Components • Disable Indexing Service • Select Next
