Uh, no restriction on XP … lol I still use my XP platform game Mass because Vista is GAWD-AWFUL! LOL You have no problem at all. You see, the fact that Microsoft has enabled computers to use Intel Atom XP shows that Vista is a resource-hog. There is no way Vista would be bearable with 1 GB of RAM. You're right, the vast majority of things in the world computer day today are designed to work with XP because it is still what most people use, particularly business. You're really better with XP.
