With the new HDTV, is there a VCR / DVD with a Hi-Def tuner available for PIP?
I bought a Samsung 46A650 HDTV, I have discovered that the PIP on the new high-definition television can only set with a DVD / tuner or set / VCR Tuner-up. You can not have PIP emissions TV 2 at a time; Tuner1/Tuner2 say. Or am I missing something in the manual? there is a way, perhaps with a HI-def DVD / VCR tuner that can receive the whole HI-Def stations, 7-1, 7-2, 7-3, as examples, they can do the job? I enjoy watching two TV events @ a time and appears with the configuration of new HDTV, you will lose the ability to have or am I wrong? Thanks
No, that's like my Samsung too. PIP is made to some PC games or when using TV as a monitor. Also be careful, usually the PIP signal can not be digital in nature. You have to run cable made for TV and loses its digital signal. Still should be a good image. Also, do not believe that HD DVD players have an HD tuner built in so that the DVD signal to the TV.
