Buy in Canada vs. USA: PN50B650 Samsung 50 "Plasma 1080p?
Hello, I'm a Canadian looking to buy a PN50B650 Samsung 50 "Plasma HDTV 1080p. I found it on Amazon.com for over $ 1000 less than the best price we could find in Canada. I have it delivered somewhere in the U.S. and lower to collect (I live very close to the border) and I save a lot of cash. However, I wonder what kind of issues would have to own a TV I bought in the U.S. to one that I bought in my country. I think all the specs are the same, so it worries me and the duty to guarantee (to be pay at the border). Any help would be appreciated. I contacted Samsung Canada and they had no idea. I tried to contact Samsung USA and your phone not working (or something) …
The only problems would be the costs to get across the border (which may or may not want to include the time and effort and costs of transportation to / from the pick-up point from the U.S.), such as taxes, and yes, customer service and warranty support, which means that the second will have to take the U.S. for warranty service.
