Problems with DVD recordings scheduled?
Hi I'm having trouble getting a picture when the recording when the TV is off. When I record TV whilst watching it works but when schedule recording and the TV is off … when I play the DVD instead of watching the show i see a picture on the TV that says DVI alert your HD is not HDCP compliant. Please use the YPrPb component to watch television. Although I get the audio from what I'm recording. I have a Samsung HD DLP and Panasonic DMR-20 DVD recorder. I have IO digital cable with a HD STB. My connections are: 1. STB RF 2. HDMI STB TV 3. Composed of yellow, white, red STB to DMR-20 4. Component and composite audio DMR-20 to the TV I do not understand why record it when the TV is on but when facing the TV (Recording programmed) I get no picture. It is the DVD recorder because its record of 2 hours of that stupid error box with the audio from the program. Any suggestions on how can I get picture? thanks
Sounds like the DVD recorder receives its signal from the TV (your tuner). If the TV is off, no signal for recording. You may be able to get a separate tuner to the DVD recorder. would, if I could have the TV on and off of the image (to save light source)
