Radeon X1650PRO to Samsung HDTV?
I've been trying to set my computer to my Samsung HDTV. I'm pretty sure my TV is capable of 1080p, but when I I put the resolution on 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz my TV shows nothing but "not supported mode. The maximum resolution that can set the TV is 1280 x 1024. any ideas? TV: Samsung HL-S6187W Graphic Card: ATI Radeon X1650PRO (512MB 128bit) Connection: VGA Cable
Do not use VGA. You must use an adapter DVI-to-HDMI cable. Unlike analog VGA, DVI / HDMI is a digital signal and better quality could allow the graphics card to detect what modes HDTV support. Some HDTVs limited resolution so high you can go through the VGA port.
