Thx man! I solved my Acer 4520 problem (wich i had for 1 year and a half). In my case, wasnt like yours, but u gave me an ideia of what to do. Here’s what i did: i opened the laptop and i found the screen data cable, i added something to stop it of moving around and i worked. 5 stars. Other users, any questions about my case, just let me know

make sure you press the object well I tried it with 4 models and one from fujitsu

WOW!!! it is an amazing discovery!!! My laptop is Acer Aspire 4710z, I did the same thing and it works. I did not use any paper fold but tightly inserted screen data cable at that point.
I was about to buy a new LCD screen for Rs.10000 but u saved me. Thanks a Lot.

Dude, you rock, I did this on my 4315 width 1″ square peice of paper napkin folded and no more white screen of death… Best tip of the year 2010

same here with aspire 4315,, had been suffering the white flashing screen for nearly 6 months, and it is all gone today! very good tip here! but hey, fucl< acer!!!

so you have to keep pressure on that thing with the x on it from the video? or do you just press that thing once then replace the plastic cover back on and your done?

Could you describe how to fix the problem in details?

My computer is an Acer Aspire 4935 and it’s already 2 years I faced this problem..

I noticed that the position of the hardware of the monitor(chips, wires and so on)is different than yours..
